When I Was the Forest, by Meister Eckhart

When I Was the Forest

When I was the stream, when I was the
forest, when I was still the field,
when I was every hoof, foot,
fin and wing, when I
was the sky
itself,

no one every asked me did I have a purpose, no one ever
wondered was there anything I might need,
for there was nothing
I could not
love.

It was when I left all we once were that
the agony began, the fear and questions came;
and I wept; I wept. And tears
I had never known
before.

So I returned to the river, I returned to
the mountains. I asked for their hand in marriage again,
I begged--I begged to wed every object
and creature.

And when they accepted,
God was ever present in my arms.
And He did not say,
"Where have you
been?"
For then I knew my soul--every soul-
had always held
Him.

Warped Passages : Unraveling the Mysteries of the Universe's Hidden Dimensions

Warped Passages : Unraveling the Mysteries of the Universe's Hidden Dimensions
by Lisa Randall

The book is intended for a popular audience, but is also a very interesting read for anybody with a background in theoretical physics (like myself).
The first part contains an overview of modern physics - Einstein's theories of relativity, quantum mechanics and the Standard Model of particle physics.
The last part concentrates on the idea of extra dimensions beyond the standard four we know about, which can be motivated by string theory and its discovery of the so-called D-branes. Specifically, she explains the work, pioneered by herself, Raman Sundrum and others, on the so-called "braneworld scenarios".
Basically, this is the idea that our four dimensional space-time is embedded in some higher dimensional space, usually called the "bulk".
You might think, that extra dimensions are just part of a set of crazy ideas? On the contrary. You should know, that the idea of extra dimensions is actually not at all new.
Already in 1884, the original book, "Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions" (written by the English mathematician Edwin Abbott) described a world of two-dimensional beings, who only have indirect knowledge of the extra third space-dimension. B
ut, from a mathematical point of view, one can imagine as many dimensions as one wants to. In physics, the story is somewhat different. more Written by Dr. Kasper Olsen

Have faith in your Truth

Have faith in your Truth.
You are Love.
All that you have Given,
has been Given of Love.
There can be no other Gift.

The guilt that you believe
is not so.
It is a dream about yourself.
Do not invest in dreams anymore.
Let your eyes be opened
to your Truth

Honesty

Honesty is acceptance.
It does not fight or
try to change.
It accepts in peace
that which is meaningless
as meaningless,
because it is Honest
and does not wish for
deception.

Honesty

It does not fight or
try to change.
It accepts in peace
that which is meaningless
as meaningless,
because it is Honest
and does not wish for

Self "Protection"

Self-protection protects the small self,
which is the illusory self,
which is not You.

You are one with your brother.
Where there is no division,
there can be no conflict.

Conflict is illusion
dreamt by the desire
to self-protect.

Will you let conflict go?

Will you not self-protect?

Message from David Hoffmeister

Nothing in Reality. You don't need to do anything to Be What You Are. If the illusion of time still seems real, what is your only need? You know the answer.... The forgetting of this world, the forgiveness of illusions, the releasing of the past. Don't put your faith in the ego and its laws of economics, medicine, nutrition, physics, friendship, and its doctrines, rituals, and creeds that tell you that you must "struggle" to survive. Let go of the belief that you are confined to a body. Let go of the belief that you have a past or a future. Watch your care and concerns disappear from awareness. Behold, the blazing light of your True Identity in God, changeless and timeless. The truth is now, the present moment, free of all illusory restrictions and limitations.

Is there a difference between free will and choice? What did God give to His Beloved Son in Creation, and what was made up by the ego? Did the ego make up the concept of choice?

Free Will is another name for God's Will, for it is eternally free, happy, peaceful, and joyful. This State of Mind is Perfection or Reality or Truth. The Will is free in perfect Oneness and Union, and this freedom is a characteristic of Spirit or Eternal Creaton, which is the abstract Light of unconditional love sometimes reported in "near death experiences." This Light is total understanding and love, or Oneness. God creates only Light and Oneness. Duality is the illusion of the ego.

Choice did not seem to arise until the "fall from Grace" that reflects the belief that separation from God is possible. This belief in separation produces what appears to be a dualistic dream-world of extremes and opposites: the time-space cosmos. These seeming "choices between specifics" which are the common "choices of the world" are a distraction from understanding that the choice of purpose in one's mind is the only meaningful choice remaining to the dreamer of the dream-world.

No one can serve two masters, and the ego's voice and the inner voice of the Spirit are as different in purpose as night and day. Learning to discern between these two voices, lay aside the ego, and align completely with the Voice for God is the goal of life, for God's Will for us is perfect happiness. The Voice for God leads to awakening from the dream-world of fear to the Reality of Eternal Love and Oneness.

Responsibility and accountability are always for one's own state of mind, and one's state of mind is produced by the voice one is listening to at any given moment. Behaviors come from thoughts, and a choice of purpose is a decision of which thought system one wants (love or fear) at any given moment. To awaken from the dream-world, discernment is of the utmost importance, for until the ego's thought system is laid aside, the mind will vacillate between love and fear and remain unaware of the Oneness beyond the perceptual world.

Mind One

What is Mind?

You do not have a private, separate mind. You are a Whole Mind. The self-concept is based in the belief in separation and obscures awareness of this Whole Mind.

In this world Mind has been forgotten, seemingly replaced by the experience of the senses and the activity of the brain. At times you have associated the brain with the Mind, and neurological activity with thinking. This is far from the truth! Quantum physicists and mystics have spoken for years about the unsubstantial nature of the "material universe." The brain, the body, the world, and indeed the entire time-space cosmos are all projections (like movie images on a giant screen) of concepts that God did not create. These concepts are temporary, not eternal, infinite, and changeless as is Reality. These concepts obscure awareness of the vast experience of one's Self as Divine Mind.

The Mind is metaphysical or beyond the physical. As false limitations of belief placed on mind are raised to awareness and laid aside, you will remember how magnificent and powerful the Mind is, and the glory that You truly are. In the deceived state of forgetfulness, you are afraid of the power of your Mind because, as you see yourself, you believe you have misused this power and lost your glory.

Mind is unlike anything in the world you perceive. It is all-encompassing and always reaches to Itself, for in truth there is nothing "outside" of It. Divine Mind was created in the likeness of God, and therefore True Identity is an idea in the Mind of God and shares the attributes of God. Stated another way, God is the Cause and True Identity is an Effect or extension of God. Mind is One, Whole, Unified, and Changelessly Eternal.

In this world, Divine Mind (Abstract Light, Peace, and Joy) has been temporarily forgotten. This is apparent from the experience of duality, the fear-prone condition of specifics and fragmentation which seems to be the humam condition. Consciousness is the mind which seems to be split and asleep.

All concepts relating to consciousness are metaphors and "stepping stones" that can be used to awaken to the Reality of Divine Mind (Love). Using the metaphor of time, consciousness can be trained to reach a "leaping off point" and thus vanish, replaced entirely by Reality or Oneness. Complete forgiveness of illusions is this "leaping off point," for in Reality there is nothing to forgive. The True Identity needs no forgiveness, for it is untouched by illusions, being created by God.

Discernment is the means by which the false is seen as false, and thus escaped. Gaining the awareness of discernment is the only helpful use of time, space, bodies, money, computers, resources, and all the symbols of the world.
